Tiny Talk Tuesday

I have two really cute things that Aiden said this last week!

First...I was not witness to this one. My parents were up and were sitting outside with Erik and the boys. Aiden came over and told them he was going to tell them a story about a boy named Bennett who didn't listen. He preceded to go on about how Bennett didn't listen to Mommy & Daddy and he ran out into the road and was squished as flat as a pancake. I'm not sure where he has heard this before because I don't believe we have ever told him a car could squish him as flat as a pancake but who knows! The really funny part though was after he told the story Aiden says, "I don't like kid pancakes!" LOL!! And what does my father say, "They are crunchy." I'm am going second hand on this because I was not there so I might be off by a bit. Too funny.

Yesterday Erik and I had to go to the local hospital to get some blood work done that we've been putting off (just general health, cholestoral, CBC, etc.). They were still doing my paperwork when they called Erik in for his blood draw so he took Aiden in with him. He thought the whole thing was pretty interesting. Aiden is going to need to go for blood work later this week so I mentioned this too him when he came out and asked if he would like to go in an watch while they took my blood. He was all excited to go. While we were in the lab I was talking with him about giving blood and again talked about him giving some blood later this week. He looks up at me and says, "But Momma, I don't want anyone stealing ANY of my blood."

Bennett continues on his talking spree. He NEVER stops talking. We can understand probably half now. He hasn't said anything really funny this week though.

Stop back next week to see what other funny things my kids are saying!

And don't forget to stop by Not Before 7 to share about your kids or to read some other funny things.

Tiny Talk Tuesday

Time for another Tiny Talk Tuesday! I don't have much for this week. I am actually going to share something that Bennett has been doing for a while but I completely forgot about last week. He did it again the other day so it reminded me to share.

I am not quite sure where he got this from but he started a few weeks ago coming up to us, grabbing one of our hands and say "Nice to meet you Mama." And he will do it over and over and over again. It is just too cute.

Aiden is spending a lot of time reenacting some of the shows he likes to watch. Especially the Backyardigan's. He loves to play cowboys & pirates and is always saying things like "partner" or "captain." He will occassionally refer to all of us as Captain (i.e. Captain mama, Captain Bennett, etc). Too funny!

Tiny Talk Tuesday

This is a new carnival that I recently stumbled on. I decided to join because my kids are always saying the funniest things so this gives me a great way to record it.

The first one I want to share is from my almost 4 yr old, Aiden. We have quite a few new babies being born to friends of ours and have started to discuss when we want to think about another child. Erik's best friend, Joe & wife Elena had just had their baby. We asked Aiden if he would like to have another baby in our house.

Aiden: "Yeah, I want to have Auntie Elena's baby."

Me: "Well, we can't exactly have that baby Aiden."

LOL!! To funny!

And Bennett, he is just starting to talk really well. He is going to be two in June. They grow to fast. Some of my favorite things that he says:

"Wait, wait mumma" whenever you walk away from him

"See me" when he wants to be picked up

"Sorry mumma" if he bumps into you, does something that makes you say ouch or if someone else does. He is always saying sorry.

"Piece, Piece, break a piece off daddy." Bennett LOVES Erik's Bagels with butter & cream cheese on them but we don't really want to make a whole one for him. Whenever Erik sits down with a bagel he always starts saying "piece, piece, break a piece off."

"I wuv you mumma." "hugs." "kisses." He is a little lover! He loves to give hugs and kisses and is always wrapping his arms around us and saying "I wuv you." Too cute!

And on Friday...something too cute. He was running in circles around the yard and was singing, "racing day, racing day." Too funny!

OK...so a lot more here for Bennett than Aiden. But they are always saying such cute things when they are learning to talk. LOL!
